Das Carls Hotel - Dusseldorf

The services were friendly, offered us very good free Wi-Fi. The continental breakfast was plentiful with a wide array of items to choose from. The staff were very pleasant - thoroughly enjoyed that...

the magnificent location was near carlsplatz. the area was shopping. the rooms were a decent size and silent, with private bathroom. and it was facing courtyard.

The room is neat with a queen size bed, also they can offer wake-up service. The breakfast is reasonably good served with veggies, honey, healthy options. The hotel provides a friendly service...

The location was ideal, with easy access to the old town and close proximity to lively street-side cafes. The comfort of the Classic Double Room left much to be desired was great. While I enjoyed the friendly staff and found the available parking convenient at €25 per night for my car, I did find the breakfast options somewhat limited compared to others nearby like the good Bastians bakery.

I really appreciated the friendly staff and the hotel's spot-on location, just a few steps from the historic Altstadt and the scenic Rhine promenade, made for lovely afternoon walks to explore the area.

Good breakfast. Staff very good about swapping one of the rooms.

The beds were too hard and the duvets too small/not soft enough. As a result neither of us slept very well. Also no wi-fi.

The room was chilly.

Location, clean room, there is everything you need. Cleaning every day, soft towels and a good mattress.

The soundproofing is very weak.

The hotel staff made our visit very warm and comfortable. We have stayed at the carat before so we knew what to expect...excellent service, first- class rooms and a great location for seeing some of the best sights of Dusseldorf. Of course, we love the breakfasts. We are fortunate to be able to eat at a leisurely pace. The breakfast room staff was very courteous and helpful and the area is kept in top shape.We hope to return to Dusseldorf and the carat again...as soon as possible!!

Very nice located in the middle of the Altstadt. Friendly people, clean room, good breakfast buffet.

We stayed at the CARAT for 2 days...then took a river cruise for a week and returned to the CARAT for 3 more days. Everything about our stays was perfect. We're getting to know the area...we totally enjoy the Altstadt and the many restaurants. We also enjoy the market just across the stereet from the hotel. We purchased many gifts for friends there as well as enjoying coffee and lunch there,too. It's an enjoyable bonus to be so close to the Karlsplatz.

Superb location and very good breakfast.

The extra bed we got for the child was very hard. The hotel was not able to provide an extra mattress to put on top (but we got an extra thick blanket which made the bed somewhat softer).
